Objectives, Magnification, and Eyepieces:
- LWD Objective Set: Four DIN Strain-Free Plan Achromatic, Infinity Corrected, Long Working Distance Objectives (LMPlan POL): 5x, 10x, 20x, 50x. Designed for use with no cover slips. Objective Specs: 5x/0.15 (W.D. 10.80mm), 10x/0.3 (W.D. 10.00mm), 20x/0.45 (W.D. 4.00mm), 50x/0.55 (W.D. 7.90mm).
- NWD Objective Set: Five DIN Strain-Free Plan Achromatic, Infinity Corrected, Normal Working Distance Objectives (Plan POL): 4x, 10x, 20x, 40x, 60x. Designed for use with 0.17 mm cover slips. Objective Specs: 4x/0.10 (W.D. 20.80mm), 10x/0.25 (W.D. 5.30mm), 20x/0.40 (W.D. 1.60mm), 40x/0.60 (W.D. 0.36mm) (Spring Loaded), 60x/0.85 (W.D. 0.47mm) (Spring)(Dry).
- 10x Eyepiece Set. PL 10x/22mm. High Eye-point for Ease of Viewing when wearing Eyeglasses. We do not include 15x eyepieces because they are useless. The most important part of a microscope is the objective lens. We provide a total of five objective lenses. Don’t be fooled by long lists of different magnifications you can obtain by using a combination of objectives and different eyepieces. In reality, a skilled microscopist is only going to use the 10x eyepiece set as that has the best imaging. In this ad, we are cutting out the industry-standard marketing gimmicks and getting straight to the point of what a professional geologist will actually need.
- Measuring Reticle built into one eyepiece: X-Scale 10mm in 100 divisions, 0.1mm/division resolution. Plus Y line.
- Stage Micrometer: 1 mm in 100 divisions, 0.01 mm / division resolution for calibration of eyepiece reticle.
- Objective Centering Screws on nosepiece for precise optical alignment. Includes centering wrenches.
- Eyepiece diopter adjustment to correct for your specific vision needs.
Illumination:
- Variable Intensity Dual Illumination: Transmitted (Base) and Reflected Episcopic (Upper).
- Halogen Illumination: 12V-50W (both light sources).
- Koehler Illumination System with Focusable Field Diaphragm (transmitted).
- LBD light balancing daylight filter fits on top of the Koehler field diaphragm (transmitted) and fits in a filter holder at the rear of the upper light (reflected).
- Vertical illuminator with adjustable aperture and field iris diaphragms. Includes iris centering screws (similar to Zeiss and Olympus, but not found on most other models.).
General Specifications:
- Rack and Pinion Adjustable Strain Free Abbe Substage Condenser. Numerical Aperture 0.9 with 360 degree rotatable polarizer and iris diaphragm. Polarizer graduation marks every 2 degrees.
- Condenser Flip-Top Lens similar to Olympus and Zeiss models.
- Centerable and focusable Bertrand lens for easy viewing of conoscopic interference patterns.
- Analyzer with full-range rotating dial provides adjustable cross polarization. Rotation lock stop screw. Two-degree increments, 6’ precision.
